Night of the Demons (2009)

Image
Angela Feld is throwing a wild Halloween party at the infamous Broussard Mansion and everyone is invited to this shindig. However, the festivities are haulted when cops show up and makes everyone leave. That is for a few that decide to stay behind to continue on with the fun...but little do they know that they are not alone when demons join in on the fun. I was skeptical when I first heard that the movie was being remade. I have hated a majority of the recent remakes that I have seen, so I really didn't even want to check this one out. The original Night of the Demons was always one of my favorite movies and it just didn't need a remake to begin with. Do I still feel this way? In a way...yes. However, I had seen a couple of trailers that changed my mind and when I finally got the chance to see it, I was quite thrilled. Sure, it's not as good as the original, but I still had fun with it.  The first thing that I need to mention is the little homage to the original. Linn

The Brimstone Movie Collection Presents: Vampires and Other Stereotypes

Image
Kevin J. Lindenmuth is re-releasing some of his titles in a new collection entitled "The Brimstone Movie Collection". "Vampires and Other Stereotypes" is one of the coolest independent horror flicks that I have ever seen. I bought it on VHS back in the late 90's and I just cherish it. Now, it's finally being re-released on a brand spanking new DVD (I think it was released on DVD under the title "Hell's Belles" at one time). Gates of Gore can't recommend this movie enough, it's so much fun. You get vampires, demons, zombies and more all in one movie. Do yourself a favor, when this movie is released....BUY IT!!!!! Other titles coming soon from "The Brimstone Movie Collection" include.... "Addicted to Murder" "Addicted to Murder: Tainted Blood" "Walking Between the Raindrops: Revisited" http://www.lindenmuth.com/

Malefic Review

DIRECTOR: Steve Sessions CAST: Jeff Dylan Graham, Lilith Stabs, Cynder Moon, Lucien Eisenach In Hobbs Bluff, Louisiana...four crimals have recently stolen the corpse of a dead child. They travel to an isolated cabin in the woods of an occult author. Their plan is to hold the corpse for ransom...but things go horribly wrong when they mess with an ancient sprirt board and something is conjured up that comes for them one by one. I have heard alot of great things about this film and I was lucky enough to find a limited edition VHS copy at a recent horror convention. There was only one other film by Steve Sessions that I have seen called CREMAINS and I quite enjoyed it, so I had to see what other films he has done. Damn...this guy can make some really cool horror films. I definately want to see more of his works. Hmmm...the acting was actually quite good, especially that of Lilith Stabs and Jeff Dylan Graham. They both had appeared in CREMAINS and were both awesome in that one as

Demon Slaughter Review

Director: Ryan Cavalline Cast: Adam Berasi, Vic Badger, Bill Wittman, Shannon Johnson, Eddie Benevich, Peter Blessel All Jimmy wanted to do was to get out of the mob business, but it wasn't as easy as he thought. With his mob associates out to kill him, Jimmy takes off with a stash of stolen cash to a deserted cabin to hide out. However, Jimmy is not alone as he is met up by a demonic figure and a horde of zombies. Will Jimmy get out of this alive? Demon Slaughter is the first flick that I got to watch from Ryan Cavalline's 4th Floor Pictures and I have to say that I was quite impressed. I have been wanting to see Ryan's films for some time now and it was well worth all the waiting that I did. First of all, let me say that the only disappointment that I had with this film was the running time, at only 62 minutes. I got so involved with it, I wanted it to be longer then it was. The time flew by so fast. However, with all the action that was going on, you would
